The project started in a Proton Iswara to install a full computer in the car, or CARPC, with the use of a 486DX2 mainboard running with a 66MHz CPU, with the MSDOS-based media player was controlled with an external notebook keyboard extender.

The CARPC system was upgraded to a Pentium II class mainboard running Windows XP. The interface was by a Sony Ericsson R520m using bluetooth. Later on the car PC system was controlled with a Compaq iPaq 3870 to interface with the computer using bluetooth, and to provide a better interface.

The CARPC system was upgraded to a 1GHz system, with a 7" VGA Touchscreen monitor and a mobile DVD drive to enable DVD playback. The power system was controlled by a Microchip PIC to turn Windows ON or OFF by using the ignition switch, and the detection of reverse gear would switch the screen to rearview camera.

Internet was installed onto the car computer system, using the available GPRS network on major highways.

GPS was installed on the car PC that enables routing, and maintenance tracking. i.e. after about 50,000km the system will alert the driver to change the car's timing belt.
